Personal Style Guide

Design and User Experience

A simple style guide that allows users to see a splash of creativity without losing out on the professionalism.
The reasoning is as follows:
1. The colours: Pink and blue are classically considered to be boy/girl differentiators. They are also used on the Bisexual flag, an area that I am a proud member of. The colours work well to add an element of dark/light on a theme, without overwhelming each other.
2. The text: Josefin sans feels very rounded, an appearance in fonts that I am personally found of. I do not enjoy sharp fonts, as they give a sense of coldness to me. Rather, I prefer more softer, rounded fonts that can be used to create a feeling of warmth, and friendliness.
3. The buttons, pictures, cards: Again, to keep with the theme of fluidity and friendliness, I chose buttons with rounded edges that give a simple, clean and homely feel. I wanted my buttons and graphics to look exciting.
Moreover, I wanted my personal style guide to showcase a child's curiosity; to learn, observe, try and grow. Pink and blue are colours primarily connected with children, and I wanted to invoke a sense of wonder and curiosity in my users.
